With 6 weeks now under his belt as an exchange student in Sendai Japan, Max is up and blogging for his English speaking friends back at Caldwell Academy.  He's learning how to write tanka poems in his Japanese culture class:

"Umi wa ao, sora mo ao dana. Kumo wa shiro. Machigaenai, kore wa seishun.

The sea is blue, the sky is also blue. The clouds are white. No doubt, this is youth.

LOL. Even translated it doesnt make sense does it. But thats what made it awesome."
